A Family Advocate is a volunteer who is key to the success of a secure Host Family environment. The Family Advocate assists the Family in Need (FIN) with resources, and they mentor FIN’s and Host Families throughout the hosting and beyond. They play a vital role in connecting the FIN and Host Family as well as overseeing the care and safety of the children.
Family Advocate provides:
- Resources to the FIN to help them get back on their feet.
- Facilitation of the relationship between the FIN and Host Family.
- Support to the Family.
- Mentorship.
